How To Start A Podcast Tutorial

This Week In Podcasting: Podcasters Take Over London, Booking Guests, Podster Magazine

Every week I’ll be rounding up the best stories from the world of podcasting to help you learn how to launch and improve your podcast. This week it’s all about gatherings, guests and great reads!

The Podcasters Pub Crawl, London

Podcasters Pub Crawl London

Yesterday (March 24th 2016) more than 50 podcasters gathered in London to meet, talk, discuss and connect on everything podcasting. The evening started in Trafalgar Square, moved to the Sherlock Holmes pub and ended up in the wonderful Royal Festival Hall alongside the River Thames. The evening was masterminded by the effervescent organizers of the New Media Europe conference Mike and Izabella Russell, and the organizer of the London Podcast Network Jim Spring.

We heard a number of great practical and motivational talks from Mike Russell, Myself, Max Pepe, and Bill Shaw

If you’d like to join the London Podcast Network, whether you’re new to podcasting or are already podcasting why not join the Meetup group and come along when the next meetup is scheduled.

Calendly LogoLet Your Guests Book Themselves Through Calendly Via Your Website

When it comes to scheduling guests for an interview recording session, it can be tricky to sync calendars with each other especially across multiple time zones. Calendly has been around for a while as a great self service booking system where you can specify times you’re available, and your guests can pick a slot that matches their calendars, with local times being automatically adjusted for both parties.

As good as Calendly is, you’ve always had to send your guests to Calendly’s website itself to book, but this week Calendly announced that you can now embed Calendly as a widget into our own website. Keeping the registration experience right inside your own web property.
